FACILITY

MVA SWIM instruction takes place at the National Training Center (NTC), a 37,000 square-foot sports fitness facility that’s earned a world-wide reputation for training Olympic and competitive athletes. NTC’s Aquatic Center features a 70-meter, outdoor heated pool with twenty three 25-yard lanes for long and short-course training.

In addition to competitive swimming, the Center is a top training destination for athletes competing in triathlon and track & field, and boasts a cross-country course, track & field facility, multi-purpose athletic fields and a softball/baseball quadraplex. It also serves the health and fitness needs of the community with state-of-the-art cardio and strength-training equipment with free weights and group fitness classes offered seven days a week.

The NTC is part of a large, regional hospital located right next door and is managed by a team of professional physicians, medical specialists, nurses, athletic trainers, exercise physiologists and massage therapists. As well, the hospital’s outpatient rehabilitation facility is located within the Training Center.
